What's a callout?
By default, the steps of a submodel will be displayed the same as the steps of a design. You can choose to have a submodel built in a small window in the step where it’s used. That window is a callout.
How to switch between Callout and Step View
To create a callout:
- Click on any of the steps in the submodel
- Click on Convert to Callout
To revert to Step view:
- Click on the callout box,
- Click on Convert Back to Steps
Callout Settings
A callout is like a small page and has most of the settings of a full-page but the layout is simplified.
A. Layout: switch between a vertical (rows) and a horizontal (columns) layout.
B. Background: the background color of the callout.
C. Border: the thickness, color, and roundness of the border around the callout.
D. Step Numbers: the font, size, and color of the step numbers.
Step numbers are only shown if there’s more than one step and can’t be turned off.
E. Separator: the color and thickness of separators between steps of the submodel.
F. Arrows: Arrows point to where the submodel is placed in the model. There can be at most as many arrows as the number of copies of a submodel used in the step. You can change their number, thickness, color, and appearance.
G. Padding: the space between the border of the callout and its steps.
H. Spacing: the space between the steps in the callout.
