Learn how to build in Studio with our built-in interactive tutorial, designed to teach you the basics of the software.

Starting the tutorial

Studio will prompt you to follow the tutorial when you start up the app for the very first time.

You can also start the tutorial at any time by clicking the Tutorial window in the Welcome Screen (G in the image below).

The Welcome Screen appears by default when you start Studio or close all your current projects. You can also bring it up by navigating to Help | Welcome to Studio in the Help menu at the top of your screen. 

Following the tutorial

Instructions for the tutorial are shown in a window in the upper left corner.

A. Abort: Allows you to exit the tutorial at any moment.

B. Instructions: Displays instructions you must follow to complete the current step.
Buttons and tools you need to use to complete the step will be highlighted with a pulsing effect.
When you’ve fulfilled the instructions for the current step, the tutorial will automatically jump to the next step.

C. Navigation: You can go back and forth between steps with these buttons.

You can click Next and proceed to the next step even if you haven’t completed all the instructions in the current step.

D. Progression: The green line shows your progression in the tutorial.
