When you move parts with Snap turned on, selected parts will try to connect to the other parts, like with real bricks.
Activating and deactivating snapping
Click on the Snap icon in the toolbar. When Snap is off, the icon is white. When Snap is on, the icon is blue.
Compatible connectors will be attracted together when moving parts:
- If the part is already moving, it will tend to jump to connect
- If the part hasn't moved yet, it will be a bit sticky. You’ll have to move the mouse pointer more before the part moves
Studio re-orients selected parts so they connect correctly and are aligned. If you want the brick oriented another way, you need to turn it again afterward or use Connect Tool. For example, when moving a 1 x 1 brick on top of another one -- even if it’s rotated -- it will turn to align with the base brick so their sides will be flush
Snapping doesn’t consider hidden parts for connection points. It can be useful to hide parts to help Studio choose the right connection points
